Historic Ventura -- Built in 1921 by Nathanael Herreshoff, America's greatest yacht designer, Ventura is a Federally-documented National Landmark sailing vessel. A true wooden ship, Ventura's hull is solid mahogany plank, her decks are Indian teak and her mast made of Northern Spruce. Ventura is 72 feet long and carries 35 guests. Her original owner was millionaire banker and philanthropist George Baker, the founder of today's Citibank.

WINTER SAILING ESCAPE

If you want to escape "civilization" this winter, consider replacing it with a five or seven day sail through the pristine, outer islands of the Bahamas. This winter, Atlantic Sail & Charter returns to Eleuthera Island, offering private charters for two aboard Rainbow, our 30' performance/cruising sailboat. These charters are ideal for a couple, or two friends, who wish to learn to sail or advance their sailing skills. The cruises are participatory, with "all hands" raising sail, anchoring, taking the wheel and navigating. "This trip far exceeded our expectations," said one client, who returned two years in a row, remarking on the great pleasure he and his wife took on snorkling into sea caves and catching their own lobsters for dinner. For more information, call or e-mail us.

Hope to see you aboard! Captain Pat
